First workout after getting back from vegas and not doing any barbell exercises for almost 2 weeks.

Follow day observations: Legs are a little tired and sore, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Squats

Points to consider

  • Thought I would do 5x5, but I really struggled to complete the 5th rep on my 3rd set so I decided to stop at 3 sets.
  • How sore will I feel tomorrow?
  • The lights were very dim which, I think, affected my balance and confidence a bit
  • 3x5 @ 225lb (beltless) with 4min rests

Overhead press

Points to consider

  • Worried after squats felt hard; I think OHP went fine especially considering the nearly 2 week break.
  • 1x5 @ 105lb, 2x5 @ 100lb, 2x5 @ 95lb with 3 to 5 min rests

No weighted pullups as I didn't want to crush myself too much on the first workout back AND I wanted to have strength for my left middle finger hangboard rehab routine
