After playing with the safety bar height a few times, I captured the following blurry image showing the most appropriate height for me
Points to consider
Still want to try to make torso go a bit more horizontal at the bottom. Practice how this will affect the motion with just the bar and make sure balance is maintained.
Bench Press
After playing with the safety bar height a couple of times, I took the following picture to show the height on which I settled
Goals
Try out focusing on a spot on the ceiling and seeing where the bar is relative to that spot when it's locked out and above shoulders. Aim to finish the positive motion by having the bar return to that spot to be more effective in creating the diagonal path.
Points to consider
Make sure to keep shoulder blades pulled back and chest pushed up (a lot!) during exercise. Try to be less flat on the bench.
Remember to try to arch the low back
Would like a different camera angle to watch the motions from a higher elevation
Row
Goals
Try to move the bar up a little more quickly
Don't pull shoulders back at bottom. Raise chest and squeeze armpits
Get a side vid to see the the bar's path is mostly straight
Points to consider
In the side vid, the first rep didn't hit my chest so I didn't count it.
Still find it challenging to "drop" the bar faster
