Not satisfied with yesterday's workout, I decided to see how a second day at the same weight but with more volume would feel. Answer: better than yesterday!
Squats
Points to consider
- 5x5 @ 195lb with 2 min rests; no amrap set at end
- Left knee felt good. A little creaky at the start, but better as the workout went on.
Overhead press
Points to consider
- 5x6 @ 90lb with 3, 3, 3, 4, 5 min rests
- Completed all sets! Had to grind a bit for 6 on the last 3 sets.
- Unlike the squats today, back-to-back press days (closer to my limit than the squats) was quite hard
Pullups
Points to consider
- 3 sets @ +10lb with 3 min rests
- Successful reps: 7, 7, 8
