After a 2h session of lead climbing last night, my upper back and forearms felt tight and a little sore upon waking up.
Squats
Points to consider
- 5x10 @ 150lb with 5 min rests
- successful reps: 10, 10, 9, 6, 6
- In the later sets, I had a tough time keeping my upper back and abs tight for the whole motion
Bench press
Points to consider
- 5x5 @ 140lb with 5 min rests
- First set felt very heavy, but I made it thru. All subsequent sets felt much more manageable.
- Still working on keeping big groups engaged throughout the movement: upper back, abs, glutes and legs while also keeping elbows tucked and under/in-front of the barbell.
